Bead Bonanza

Friday, July 26, 2019

Join us for fish feeding at 10:30am and stay for the Bead Bonanza that begins at 11am. Learn about the daily lives of Native Americans and see authentic examples of the tools and items they used, how their lives changed as trappers and traders arrived in their territories, and how trade items impacted their lives. This is a hands-on program featuring artifacts and examples the audience can see up close. At the end, ‘barter’ for small prizes that they can take home. Fun and educational; all ages are welcome: best for ages seven+. The program will last approximately 45 min.-one hr. (This program is in conjunction of St. Joseph’s Second Annual Local History Week, & the Second Annual St. Joseph Founder’s Day.) All activities are included in the admission price. ($4 for adults, $3 for seniors 60 years and older, and $2 for youth ages 4-15. Children 3 & younger are no charge.) Please contact Andrea McCoy, Nature Center manager, with any questions at 816-676-3204 or amccoy@stjoemo.or
