Code Regulation
Per Chapter 17, Article IV, Sections 17-106 to 17-110, in the St. Joseph Code of Ordinances, “each food service establishment / retail food store within the corporate limits of the city shall be required to obtain, and post in view of the public, a city food and beverage permit in order to operate a food service establishment / retail food store, and each permit shall be renewed on or before July 1 of each year."
Permits
This establishment is always required to have health permits, but are also required to obtain a business license and fire inspection permit. If it is also selling liquor, cigarettes, or has an alarm system, additional permits may be required.
Existing Health Permits
Existing health permits will be sent a renewal notice each year on or around May 1 and are due on or before June 30. Instructions will also accompany each renewal.
If there are any changes to the operations of the business, email Customer Services. This includes, but is not limited to, change of:
- Mailing address
- Managing officer
- Ownership / corporate status
- Site address
